Privacy policy

What we collect

The only personal information we collect is what you give us, mainly through the form on our Get Started page:

• Business and contact details — your name, business name, email address and phone number.
• Website information — your website address, what platform it's built on, and when it was last updated.
• Your goals — what you'd like your website to do better, and anything else you choose to tell us.

We don't ask for anything we don't need, and we don't collect sensitive information. If you email us or book a call, we'll also hold whatever you include in those messages.

Why we collect it

We use your information for three things, and only these three:

• To review your website and prepare your free mini-plan.
• To contact you — replying to your enquiry, scheduling your review call, and following up on work you've asked about.
• To provide the services you engage us for, including invoicing and project updates.

We won't add you to a marketing list you didn't ask to join, and we won't contact you about anything unrelated to your enquiry.

Where it's stored

Like most small businesses, we use reputable third-party tools to run things. Your information may be stored or processed by:

• Airtable — where form submissions are stored so we can manage enquiries.
• Resend — the service that sends our emails, including your confirmation email.

These providers may store data on servers outside Australia (typically in the United States). Each has its own privacy policy and security measures, and we only share the information needed for them to do their job for us.

What we never do

We never sell your information. We never rent it, swap it or share it with anyone for their marketing. The only people who see your details are us and the service providers above, and only so we can do the work you've asked about. The one exception is if the law requires us to disclose something — which we'd only do when legally obliged.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry details while we're talking with you and for a reasonable period afterwards, in case you come back to us. If you become a client, we keep project records for as long as needed to support your website and meet our tax and business record obligations. When information is no longer needed, we delete it. You can also ask us to delete it sooner — see below.

Access, correction and deletion

It's your information. At any time you can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Just email info@upgrademywebsite.com.au and we'll sort it out — usually within a few business days, and we'll never charge you for it.

Cookies and analytics

We use privacy-friendly analytics from Cloudflare to understand things like how many people visit the site and which pages they read. It doesn't use advertising cookies, doesn't build a profile of you, and doesn't follow you around the internet. We don't run ad tracking, remarketing pixels or social media trackers on this site.

Security

Our website is served over HTTPS, and access to the tools that hold your information is limited and protected. No system on the internet is perfectly secure, but we deliberately keep the amount of information we hold small — the less we collect, the less there is to protect.

If you have a concern

If you think we've mishandled your information, please tell us first at info@upgrademywebsite.com.au — we take it seriously and we'll respond promptly. If you're not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle your information — for example, if we switch tools — we'll update this page and change the date at the top. Significant changes will be flagged clearly rather than slipped in quietly.
